INSIDE INDIA is a part of our business that allows for a unique travel experience into the heart of India.

We are  happy to share our travel experiences and knowledge about the different crafts and artisans we work with.  We do this through specialized  cultural tours in selected regions of India and occasional talks (free of charge) in our stores. In JULY 2017, VASTRA organized a cultural awareness tour to Northern India (mainly Srinagar and Ladakh region in the Himalayas) to  provide travellers with first-hand knowledge about the crafts and  lifestyle of rural artisans. See photos below.  To deepen understanding and discovery of India, we work closely with  historians, local enthusiastic guides and artisans.
